2019 Flavor Trend

The South Asian Pickle trend is running alongside the drinking vinegar craze. Achaar is the Hindi phrase for the Indian pickle mix that often goes by other names across India and Pakistan.  The sweet, sour, spicy pickle preservation is often combined with subcontinental fruits and vegetables including; mangoes, limes, lemons, eggplant and mainly chili peppers.  Achaar is available jarred making it suitable as a new ethnic item on the shelf, riding the acidic trend.
