About Earl Grey Blend

Originally named after Charles Grey, the 2nd Earl Grey and British Prime Minister throughout the 1830s, Earl Grey Tea possesses a strong citrus flavor reminiscent of dried bergamot peels. The black tea (Camellia sinensis) leaves used for the brewing process are infused with bergamot oil, providing the tea with its uniquely fruity and citrusy taste. Outside of traditional preparations, Earl Grey Tea is also used as a flavoring for a variety of foods including cookies, chocolates, baked goods, and even meat sauces. Earl Grey is also a popular ice cream flavor for specialty shops and can be melted into butter or cream for other dairy delights.
