Description of Cistus Oil

Steam-distilled from the leaves, stems, and flowers of the Cistus ladaniferus herb, Cistus Oil is sometimes referred to as "Cistus Oil True" and "Traditional Cistus Oil" due to its longstanding heritage within the Mediterranean. Originally an exclusive product of Spain, this oil is now harvested and distilled throughout much of Southern Europe, as well as Morocco and Northern Algeria. Cistus Oil is a wild harvested product renowned for its warm and herbaceous odor, which has been a staple of perfumery for centuries. The aroma is often compared to chamomile, though it retains a uniquely earthy and herbaceous undertone, often compared to the odor of fermented fruit. This complexity, coupled with Cistus Oil's immensely powerful aroma, makes the product a staple of floral bouquets, colognes, and other fine fragrance blends.
