Distilled from the leaves of the Eugenia caryophyllata plant, Clove Leaf oil Indonesian 70/80 is often harvested and extracted alongside its clove bud counterpart. This oil has many similar components to those found within clove bud oil, notably Eugenol, which occurs at a level of 78-80% within clove leaf oil. Indonesian Clove Leaf oil is also used as the source for Caryophyllene and the numerous Eugenol derivatives. This makes the oil especially popular among "affordable" spicy and woody perfumes.
