Description of Spruce Absolute

Spruce Absolute is mainly extracted from the Picea Mariana tree, better known as “black spruce.” The tree is native to North America and is a member of the pine family; it is widespread across Canada and can be found almost anywhere throughout the country. Spruce absolute’s aroma is intense and piney, with a rich and balsamic drydown that works exceptionally well within woody fragrance blends. The tenacity of this absolute, paired with its versatility, makes it a popular component of “forest” perfume types, often blended alongside ingredients such as cedarwood, pine needle, and oakmoss.
