Steam-distilled from the leaves and twigs of the Eucalyptus dives tree, Eucalyptus Dives oil, sometimes referred to as “broad-leaved peppermint tree,” has a fresh and powerful aroma. Minty and camphoraceous, this oil contains a high amount of laevo-piperitone, which is often converted into menthol and plays a key role in the production of phellandrene. In perfumery, Eucalyptus Dives oil can impart a herbal and slightly spicy nuance, with a soft but penetrating odor that easily masks less unpleasant scents. This makes it a popular addition to so-called “industrial perfumes,” often accompanying other products such as chemical cleaners and insecticides.
