Steam-distilled from the ground heartwood of the Ocotea cymbarum tree, Ocotea Cymbarum oil is a native product of Brazil, Paraguay, and Columbia. The oil’s aroma is incredibly warm and spicy, mainly due to the fact that 90% of its chemical makeup is safrole. Ocotea cymbarum oil is primarily used in fragrance applications, particularly those of surface cleaners and masking agents. The oil also finds heavy use in more technical applications of essential oils, such as within insecticides, floor waxes, and disinfectants.
