Cedarwood Terpenes
Description of Cedarwood Terpenes
Cedarwood Terpenes are aromatic compounds found within many different types of cedarwood essential oils, though they are most commonly extracted from cedarwood oil Texas and cedarwood oil Virginiana. Much like the oil from which they are derived, these terpenes have a woody, earthy, slightly sweet aroma reminiscent of an evergreen forest. Cedarwood terpenes provide a natural and cost-efficient way of adding depth and warmth to a wide range of woody fragrances, and the material finds use in both men’s and women’s perfumes. Cedarwood terpenes also possess insect-repelling properties which makes them a common inclusion in bug spray, outdoor candles, and natural insecticides.
