Bulgaria is in the beginning stages of its processing season for lavender, and oil production is currently underway at Berjé Trakia. In 2023, the lavender market underwent major changes to its supply structure and total acreage within producing regions such as Bulgaria. Weak demand in certain sectors of the consumer market led to a sharp reduction in the acreage allocated to lavender in Bulgaria, which will result in a significant reduction of essential oils production this year. However, thanks to our close partnerships with local growing communities, Berjé remains well-positioned in the lavender market. We are firmly committed to supporting lavender farmers and will continue to purchase their long-term production....

Spring Harvest is now nearing completion in China. Production volumes for this harvest are estimated to be down approximately 30% versus last year, however, global demand has remained low over the past few months. For the production of derivatives and New Method oil, volumes from Vietnam are readily available to supplement demand. Prices for these, as well as Traditional Method oil, are nearing historic lows. The Fall Harvest will prove to be an interesting season for farmers to be incentivized to produce if prices remain low. We are watching and monitoring closely. ...
