Description of Cassia Oil Chinese

Originally a product of southeastern China and certain regions of Vietnam, Cassia Oil is steam-distilled from the bark of the Cinnamomum Cassia tree. Strong and spicy, this product has earned the name “Chinese Cinnamon Oil” due to its intense likeness to “true” cinnamon from Sri Lanka. Its aroma retains a warm and woody top note, paired with powerful sweet and balsamic undertones. Cassia oil’s relatively low cost makes it far more accessible than other cinnamon-type oils, allowing the oil to act as an attractive alternative within baked goods, candies, and mouthwashes.
