Description of Eucalyptus Radiata Oil
Also commonly known as "Narrow-leaved Peppermint" or "Forth River Peppermint," Eucalyptus Radiata oil is steam-distilled from the leaves of the Eucalyptus radiata tree. The plant was the first variety of eucalyptus tree harvested for its naturally-occurring essential oil, originally made available for commercial usage by a pharmacist in 1854. The primary component of Eucalyptus Radiata oil is Eucalyptol, which provides a herbaceous and medicinal bite comparable to Eucalyptus Globulus, though with a softer and more citrusy accent. Eucalyptus Radiata oil also imparts a crisp, peppermint-like odor, making it excellent for soap perfumery and personal care products. Berjé also carries an organic variety of Eucalyptus Radiata oil.
