Description of Genet Absolute
An incredibly fragrant extract derived from the flowers of the Spartium junceum shrub, Genet Absolute is a product native to the Mediterranean sometimes referred to as "Scotch Broom Absolute" or "Spanish Broom." Its sweet and floral aroma is often compared to rose and honey, though with a slightly woody and hay-like nuance. The rich and herbaceous odor that permeates throughout the material's drydown process often makes Genet Absolute an excellent addition to formulations that include floral ingredients such as lavender, mimosa, and violet. Genet Absolute is also used in trace amounts within many different aldehydic perfumes, particularly those that emphasize heavy green notes.
