Description of Lemongrass Oil Guatemalan
Steam-distilled from the fragrant grasses of the Cymbopogon citratus plant, Lemongrass Oil Guatemalan actually has its origins in ancient Asia. Originally used for cuisine, candles, soaps, and candies, this oil has been a staple of Asian culture throughout much of the previous centuries. However, a large portion of the world’s lemongrass now comes from Guatemala, as the area is well-suited for the production of such oils. Guatemalan lemongrass oil is characterized by its pronounced citral top note, standing in stark contrast to the grassiness present in lemongrass of Indian origins. This unique aroma allows Guatemalan lemongrass to be used in sweeter citrus profiles, especially those in which a “candied” sweetness effect is desired.
