Description of Pinus Oil Silvestris Bulgarian
Also referred to as “Scotch Pine” or “Forest Pine,” Pinus Oil Sylvestris is produced throughout much of western and central Europe. This essential oil was originally used for bathing in Germanic and Scandinavian cultures, adding an immediately-pleasant fragrance to warm water. Pinus Sylvestris oil is nearly colorless, with a powerful balsamic odor reminiscent of fresh pine needles. This fresh, intense top note also retains a unique sweetness to it, making the oil a popular addition to soaps and air fresheners. Pinus Sylvestris is also used in woody and forest-like perfumes, though its applications are somewhat limited due to the oil’s rapid drydown process.
