Tangerine Oil is cold-pressed from the fruit peels of the Citrus Reticulata tree, which grows abundantly throughout China and the southern United States. Originally a native product of North America, the tangerine is a “new world” variety of the East Asian Mandarin. Unlike the mandarin, tangerines are larger and have a much yellower skin. Tangerine Oil CP China has a sweet and fresh aroma, often compared to bitter orange or Valencia orange. Despite their close botanical origins, tangerine oil cannot be used as a replacement for mandarin, as its chemical composition differs greatly from its native Asian counterpart. The Dancy variety of tangerine is derived from Brazilian material.
