In 2023, the lavender market underwent major changes to its supply structure and total acreage within producing regions such as Bulgaria. Weak demand in certain sectors of the consumer market led to a sharp reduction in the acreage allocated to lavender in Bulgaria, which will result in a significant reduction of essential oils production this year. However, thanks to our close partnerships with local growing communities, Berjé remains well-positioned in the lavender market.
