The bergamot season has started in Italy, running from the first week of November until the end of February/early March. Flowering in the springtime was good, however high temperatures and drought conditions during the summer has caused a reduction in overall crop quantity/yields. Fruit prices are higher in the fresh market than industrial markets, and there is very little carryover from the previous season. Bergamot oil prices are expected to remain stable....
